There are quite a few individual elements to an assessment: title, word count, submission format, submission date/time, marking, second marking, releasing grades and feedback, reflection on the result. Each of those elements can be dealt with using the electronic tools inside learn.gold. In order to make the most of the tools within learn.gold best, it is a good idea to visualise the process from start to finish and then to map this on to the relevant tools. Decisions will also have to be made about roles and responsibilities within departments for different stages of the workflow.
TaLIC will be working with departments to help them develop processes in the academic year 2015-16.
