Folder (a Resource)

Folders are a good way to make a multiple files available on a course page.  They usually need a bit of extra information that explains the contents and what they are for/why users should access them.

  • is an icon on the course area that students can click on to reveal its contents
  • can contain files or other sub-folders
  • can keep your course area tidy and useable.
For example, you might want to provide a single 'resource documents' folder and divide it by topic or week. If you have PDFs scanned for you by the library, you can place all these in a single 'Reading material' folder and hide it when the module comes to an end.
